Houndstooth was a part of the Williamsburg, Brooklyn based WINTER MARKET, held at Public Assembly.

On display was a piece by Donna Huanca (www.ruaminx.com), who has a couture smock featured in this January's edition of British Vogue. This piece, made exclusively for Houndstooth, was created with fabric of vintage pieces that were deemed not good enough for the Houndstooth store. Now they live a new existence as a recreation of this photo of a Nigerian hyena trainer:

Berlin Vintage/ Virgin Vintage

Berlin Vintage:

Found in Kreuzburg, Berlin, this 1960s light wool jacket has large side pockets and a subtle western motif. Perfect on it's own or layered for the colder months ahead. Part of Houndstooth's "Robert Smithson" vision from Fall of 2008.

Fisherman Canvas:

Found in Berlin, this 1920s fisherman's canvas pull over is a rare find. Found in its original package, this virgin vintage piece is still waiting for it's first owner. Our favorite features include a large antique zipper (very art deco and clean), HUGE front pockets, brass hardware with wrist tie details and an oversized hood.

It's an incredible piece. Simplicity at it's best.

This 1980s woven vest was found in Texas, and comes from the famous "Fabindia" brand. Known for their natural aesthetic this piece is woven in a light wool with coconut button details. It is a tri-seasonal piece that goes with everything.
